We are the one stop shop! We walk you through the entire process step by step, all the way though rental or finish. We have the survey contacts, soils tests, pre designed architectural plans, permit submission/comments, builder and property management companies.

With over 40 year’s experience of building in Denver we know the process is intimidating and can be difficult to navigate. What is the process, how much will it cost, what is the timeline etc?

Our goal is to make the process as easy and quick as possible. We have already designed plans that maximize most lots in Denver. With the free plans provided (only fee is putting our plans on your lot survey), it saves the customer money and time.

Our plans went through nearly 5 rounds of revisions with experienced builders and architects to produce the best product possible.

We also understand the process better than anyone on how to submit plans quickly once you are ready and get through the process so our licensed general contractor can begin work.

Why did you choose your design?

Our goal was to meet three main things

1. Maximize floor plan.

Building an ADU is expensive, so we believe maximizing the floorplan to generate the most value. Every ADU will need water, sewer lines, power etc which are fixed costs, regardless of footprint. We build the largest to ensure value.

2. Privacy for everyone.

Privacy. A common concern is “I do not want to be in my backyard and be looking at someone”. We agree! Our design has interior staircases so whoever is accessing the ADU does so from the alley through their 1 car garage (homeowner can keep the 2 car). We also designed the property so no lower or viewable windows are towards the main house. Any outdoor space is in the rear facing the alley for ultimate privacy.

3. Quality product with design aesthetics.

With over 40 years of experience with building homes and working with interior designers we know what will not only look best, but also what performs best. Running a rental can be a headache if you are constantly fixing, cleaning and repairing materials used on your build, but with Denver ADU Builders, you can expect quality products that last and are easy to maintain.

What are the benefits of an ADU

The cheapest addition or rental property you can do to your home is an ADU. You already own the land and we all know this is not cheap in Denver.

Short-term rental – With short term rentals becoming more and more difficult to license everyday nearly all ADU’s if you live at the address are available for legal short term rentals. We have clients who generate $4,000 to $7,000 monthly gross on their ADU properties. This type of ROI is nearly impossible to find anywhere else.

Long-term rental – if becoming a real estate investor is a goal of yours, an ADU is ideal. Adding an ADU generate nearly as much as purchasing another property, except here you do not have the land costs associated with a new property. Most long-term rents range in the $2,220 - $4,000 per month depending on location.

Extra space – ADU’s are an ideal extra space option to your current home. Especially with a majority of homeowner’s locked in at low rates that need more space, leaving a very low fixed payment for more space doesn’t make sense. Simply add it with an ADU!
